Privacy notice
The DockNest website has no accounts, no forms, no cookies, no analytics and no advertising. The only personal information it handles is the technical data that reaches our server and Cloudflare when you load a page.
What we record
For each request, our web server logs your IP address with its last part removed (for example 203.0.113.0), the date and time, the page requested, your browser’s user-agent string, and the page that linked to us. Fonts and images come from our own server, and the page loads no scripts, fonts or trackers from other companies.
Why
To keep the site running and secure, and to look into errors or abuse. Under the EU GDPR we rely on our legitimate interest in doing that. We do not use the logs to profile or identify you.
How long we keep it
Logs are deleted after 14 days.
Who can see it
The site runs on a server rented from Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany, inside the European Union. Hetzner provides the machine and can technically access it.
Every visit passes through Cloudflare, Inc., which protects the site from attacks and delivers it quickly. Cloudflare handles your full IP address and the request on our behalf, may do so outside the EU, and is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for transfers to the United States.
We share the logs with no one else unless the law requires it, and we never sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Links on this site lead to GitHub, Instagram and Threads, where those companies’ own privacy terms apply.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask whether we hold log entries about you and get a copy, ask us to delete them, object to our processing, and complain to your data protection authority. Email contact@trydocknest.com. Because the logs hold only shortened IP addresses, tell us the address you used and roughly when you visited so we can find your entries. We answer within the time the law allows, normally one month, and you will not be treated differently for asking.
California residents: we do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
Cookies
The website sets no cookies.
Children
The website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, and access to the server and its logs is limited to the person who runs it.
Changes
If this notice changes, the new version will appear here with a new effective date.
